Responsibilities: We maintain and improve Ruby on Rails applications supporting core operational processes. We design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. We write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. We support platform reliability, scalability, and long-term maintainability. We manage and improve integrations with third-party systems and APIs. We optimise PostgreSQL database performance and background job processing. We support AWS-based deployments and CI/CD processes alongside Platform teams. We investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues. We improve monitoring, observability, and deployment confidence. We collaborate closely with frontend, mobile, and product teams. We contribute to backend architecture improvements and technical documentation. We support continuous improvement across engineering standards and delivery practices. We take ownership of systems that directly support live operational environments.
