Cognitive Behavioural Therapist - Stafford
We are looking for a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist - Face to Face to work at Mindplace Stafford, Riverside Shopping Centre, ST16 3AL.
Permanent part‑time (minimum 2 days per week). Competitive salary and excellent Bupa benefits.
Session requirements:
* Monday to Friday: Early shift 08:00-16:00, Late shift 14:00-22:00. At least one shift will be a late shift.
* Saturdays 08:30-17:00 (at least 1 in 3 weekends, may vary by location).
* Each day includes 5 appointments.
Your Role
The Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist will provide high-quality, safe and effective CBT.
The Role Will Involve The Following
* Provide high-quality CBT or low-level brief interventions demonstrating excellent clinical outcomes.
* Deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations that drive evidence-based intervention.
* Provide face‑to‑face, telephone or video consultations as per client preference.
* Adhere to Bupa’s case management processes and collaborate with Clinical Leads and the wider therapy team.
* Adhere to sessional limits based on client monetary allowance while working toward therapeutic recovery goals.
* Provide signposting or onward referral as required.
* Offer ad‑hoc or one‑off wellbeing support and coaching.
* Provide one‑off assessments and referral recommendations when required.
* Provide group psychoeducation, raising awareness of mental health and wellbeing, and run remote presentations, workshops and training as required.
* Work autonomously within professional guidelines and Bupa service policies.
* Attend regular clinical supervision individually and in group, supporting clinical practice in line with BUPA and professional guidelines.
* Collaborate with operational and clinical teams to improve client and employee experiences.
Essential
Key Skills / Qualifications
* Post‑Graduate Diploma in CBT (CBT/High Intensity) accredited by BABCP.
* Full accreditation with British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).
* At least 2 years’ experience providing high‑intensity CBT interventions with working‑age clients and a range of presentations.
Desirable
* Training and accreditation in additional specialised areas such as EMDR.
* Corporate experience and business understanding.
* Excellent leadership and management skills.
Key Skills & Experience
* General adult mental health specialism experience.
* IT skills, proficient on Microsoft systems and electronic medical record systems.
* Ability to evaluate, plan and prioritise workload within demanding time scales.
* Experience of customer service and client liaison.
* Applying clinical knowledge, presentation and interpersonal communication; strong professional and personal drive; enthusiastic, self‑motivated and self‑sufficient.
* Respond rapidly and decisively; excellent team player; strong problem‑solving capability.
* Managing own caseload, working toward targets and outcomes.
* Time boundary and efficient diary management to achieve utilisation targets.
* High standards in written and oral communication.
* Diverse and varied clinical experience.
