Working for Waukesha Bearings as a Commissioning Engineer, you will be part of a specialist team responsible for the commissioning of new active magnetic bearings installations that we manufacture and servicing existing installations both remotely and on-site when required, worldwide. Additionally, you will support production testing at our laboratory in Worthing, West Sussex.
For over three decades, Waukesha Magnetic Bearings has applied proven magnetic bearing technology to enhance the performance of rotating equipment. We lead in custom-engineered active magnetic bearing (AMB) systems for large turbomachinery and high-performing rotating equipment, including turbo expanders, multi-stage natural gas compressors, and electrical motors up to 23MW.
What You Will Bring
* HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or similar
* At least five years of experience in commissioning automation systems
* Knowledge of European safety standards is beneficial
What You Will Do
* Commission systems worldwide, including subsystems prior to site installation
* Service installations globally
* Respond to service call-outs worldwide
* Complete system integration and testing following company procedures
* Provide documentation for testing installations and cabinets
* Assist with cabinet testing
* Ensure delivery meets all system and cabinet requirements by the deadline
* Comply with safety and quality standards per country
* Achieve commissioning targets as agreed with customers
* Maintain a professional approach and technical competence with customers
* Support business objectives as needed
* Travel up to 50%, including international travel
