Head Chef We are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen team at Healds Hall, a well-established independent 24 bed hotel and events venue in West Yorkshire.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strong kitchen leader who takes pride in delivering consistently high-quality food, maintaining excellent hygiene standards, and building a motivated, professional team culture.
Located in the heart of West Yorkshire, Healds Hall is known for its weddings, events, restaurant & bistro dining, conferences, and hospitality offering. We are seeking a Head Chef who can continue to elevate our food reputation while ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently, commercially, and to the highest standards.
The Role You will be responsible for the overall management of the kitchen operation, including:
Leading and inspiring the kitchen brigade
Delivering high-quality fresh food across restaurant, weddings, events, and functions
Maintaining exceptional food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards
Managing GP, stock control, ordering, and wastage
Developing seasonal menus and event offerings
Ensuring consistency, presentation, and quality across all services
Managing rotas, recruitment, training, and kitchen performance
Maintaining compliance with all food safety and HACCP procedures
Working closely with senior management to drive standards and guest satisfaction
What Were Looking For Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a quality hotel and eventsor restaurant environment
Strong leadership and kitchen management skills
Excellent understanding of food hygiene, allergens, and kitchen compliance
Passion for fresh, well-presented food and consistent standards
Ability to manage both busy wedding/events service and day-to-day restaurant operations
Commercial awareness with experience controlling food costs and labour
Calm under pressure with a hands-on approach
Strong organisational and communication skills
