Skills & Abilities (Essential)
* Resilient and able to work effectively with individuals who have a range of support needs
* Positive, caring, and committed to delivering person-centred support
* A strong team player who contributes positively to the wider staff team
* Practical and logical, with good common-sense problem-solving skills
* Able to support individuals with everyday domestic tasks
* Good communication skills, including basic literacy, numeracy, IT and administrative abilities
* An effective listener who can communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
* Organised and able to manage their own workload and priorities
* Creative in their approach to supporting individuals
* Trustworthy and professional, maintaining confidentiality at all times regarding the people we support, colleagues, and the organisation
Qualifications
Desirable (but not essential):
* A vocational qualification in Health and Social Care
Knowledge (Desirable)
* An understanding of Autism Spectrum Conditions, Learning Disabilities, and Mental Health needs, with the ability to follow individualised support strategies (full training provided)
* Knowledge of Health and Safety practices
Experience
Preferred:
* At least 1 year's experience working as a Support Worker
Desirable (training provided):
* Experience of Positive Behaviour Support
* Experience working with people who have communication difficulties
Other Requirements
* Willingness to work flexibly across a range of shifts, including weekends, bank holidays, day and night shifts
* Willingness to attend required training through e-learning or in-person courses
