One-to-One Primary Tutors Required (SEMH / Alternative Provision - Wokingham Area)
We are seeking dedicated one-to-one primary tutors, ideally qualified teachers, to provide off-site educational support to pupils in and around Wokingham who are currently out of mainstream education.
This role is particularly well suited to teachers who are looking to step away from the challenges of the mainstream classroom and move into part-time, flexible work, while continuing to make a meaningful impact through individualised support.
Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available.
About the Role
Part-time, flexible one-to-one tuition for primary-aged pupils
Pupils are typically out of mainstream school and accessing alternative provision
Focus on English and core literacy skills
Off-site education delivered locally within the Wokingham area
Work available until at least September and likely beyond
Pupil Profile & SEMH Focus
Pupils may present with SEMH needs, SEN, anxiety, school refusal, or a history of exclusion and require a calm, consistent, relationship-led approach.
Tuition includes:
Reading, writing, and comprehension
Phonics, spelling, grammar, and sentence construction
Confidence-building and re-engagement with learning
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status preferred
Enhanced DBS (Update Service preferred)
Ability to travel locally
Experience with SEMH or alternative provision highly desirable

Rate dependent on experience and qualification
