The Role This is a rare opportunity to join as one of the first senior engineers within a newly established UK/Northern Ireland delivery team. Whether your expertise lies in Golang/Kubernetes or Python-based systems, your work will directly shape the next generation of a global-scale, data-intensive cloud platform. Your focus will centre on designing and building scalable APIs, distributed microservices, and backend infrastructure that powers advanced cloud intelligence at scale. Key Responsibilities Design and develop cloud-native services using Golang or Python Build scalable, distributed microservices and high-throughput backend systems Create and maintain robust APIs (REST/GraphQL) Partner with frontend and data platform teams (Snowflake, Airflow) Shape CI/CD pipelines and observability best practices Influence architectural and technical direction Contribute to a high-feedback, asynchronous engineering culture Essential Criteria 810 years in software engineering, ideally within cloud-first or SaaS environments Strong backend development experience in Golang (preferably within Kubernetes ecosystems) or Python Proven expertise in distributed systems and asynchronous architectures Solid experience building scalable APIs (REST/GraphQL) Deep understanding of CI/CD, observability, and monitoring practices Excellent communication and collaboration skills Comfortable operating within remote, distributed teams Bonus Points For Experience with Snowflake, DBT, or Airflow Background in FinOps, cloud cost optimisation, or analytics platforms Exposure to time-series data, cost insights, or ML-driven backend systems Experience building solutions across multi-cloud or hybrid environments Why Join?
