Job Description

The Boeing Global Enterprise Services (BGES) team is looking to hire a Business Services Support Manager for the UK and Ireland. This role will report into the BGES Regional Leader for the UK and Ireland region. This role will lead a team of employees with further potential growth of additional employees based on the very dynamic business environment for Boeing. The team has the responsibility for the daily running of our offices across 15 various locations across the UK and Ireland, supporting multiple business entities.

This is a hybrid position that can be based out of a number of sites, including Bristol, Frimley, Heathrow, other BGES managed sites can be considered, with travel required between the locations supported by this role.

Responsibilities

Management of a team performing activities in accordance with the Boeing Global Enterprise Services (BGES) Service List which includes Operations Management and Compliance, Business Support Services and traveler assistance for multiple delegated business activities

1. Ensuring Boeing locations within region are managed to Boeing standards, and within budgets
2. Manage Front of House support and responsible for exceptional customer service standards
3. Supporting and delivering delegated activities and integration as needed from other service groups. These include Enterprise Services, Finance & Business, Security & Fire Protection, Site Services and Supplier Management
4. Developing and maintaining key relationships and partnerships with business partners, customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports for multiple sites with significant scope and complexity
5. Management, development and motivating a team responsible for site/entity compliance with local laws, Boeing policies and procedures
6. Responsible for forecasts and management of operating budgets, including approval of purchase requisitions within financial delegations
7. Managing long range business planning for assigned portfolio, including headcount projections, office utilization, and facilities upgrades
8. Identifying and managing process improvements, using project management principles and lean tools.
9. Drive a mindset of continuous improvement, cost reduction and cost avoidance
10. Manages, develops and motivates a team of employees, enabling them to enhance their skills, build their confidence and develop their careers whilst improving the BGES delivered services.

Skills and Experience

11. 3 + years’ of demonstrated successful management/team leadership experience
12. Must be a proactive, assertive, high energy individual who can work efficiently in an environment where priorities can change frequently
13. Must be highly responsive to the needs generated by the day-to-day activities of the sites and business management requirements
14. Should exhibit mature and independent judgment, initiative and flexibility
15. Should be able to demonstrate strong collaboration skills
16. High levels of discretion are required. Demonstrated experience of working in a confidential environment
17. Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written communication in English
18. Be computer literate with excellent experience of MS Office. Word, Excel and PowerPoint are essential
19. Experienced in working in a multicultural environment
20. Experience of working within a US based or aerospace company would be advantageous
21. Travel is required circa 40% of the time

The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills to work within a busy team, and to support staff who are located across the region, be a team player to deliver initiatives, you should be highly organised and motivated with the ability to multi task and prioritise as needed. A professional and friendly demeanor is essential.

Location – Bristol, Frimley, Heathrow, (other BGES locations can be considered)

This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK only. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in the respective country. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
