Driver – Glasgow
*Role Overview:*
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Van Driver to support our lift installation and service teams. The role involves transporting lift components, tools, and equipment between the warehouse, suppliers, and customer sites. You will play a key part in ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining vehicle standards, and assisting the operations team when required.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Safely drive company vans to deliver and collect lift components, tools, and materials.
* Load and unload vehicles, ensuring items are handled with care and in line with health & safety practices.
* Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects or issues promptly.
* Keep accurate records of deliveries, collections, and mileage logs.
* Assist warehouse staff in preparing items for dispatch when required.
* Follow site safety procedures and maintain a professional manner when representing the company at customer locations.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, driving laws, and transport regulations.
*Skills & Experience Required:*
* Full UK driving license (clean or minimal points).
* Previous driving/delivery experience (van driving essential, industry experience desirable).
* Ability to lift and move heavy items safely (manual handling training preferred).
* Good timekeeping, reliability, and attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills and a professional attitude when dealing with clients and colleagues.
* Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance (checking oil, tyres, fluids, etc.).
*Desirable:*
* Experience in the construction, engineering, or lift industry.
* CSCS card or willingness to obtain one.
* Forklift license or manual handling certification.
