Why this role matters
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape how future city planners engage with Indigenous knowledges, Country, and culturally respectful practices. As part of UNSW’s Education Focused stream, you’ll contribute to teaching excellence while embedding decolonising approaches and cultural perspectives in the curriculum. You’ll help create a safe, inclusive learning environment and support the goals of the UNSW ADA Indigenous Strategy, which aims to grow Indigenous leadership and ensure genuine equity in the built environment and higher education.
Some Key Skills And Experience
* A PhD in a related discipline and/or relevant professional experience
* Demonstrated experience in teaching design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level
* Evidence of teaching effectiveness and a strong commitment to educational excellence
* Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods
* Up-to-date disciplinary knowledge and commitment to ongoing professional development
* Experience with curriculum design, including work-integrated learning or industry engagement (desirable)
* Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
* Demonstrated ability to support students from diverse backgrounds and contribute to equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives
