Cornwall Partnership is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic consultant psychiatrist to join the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service in the multi-agency rapid response service (MARRS). The role will provide clinical leadership to a service offering a crisis response for young people with acute mental health difficulties across the community and acute services 24/7. This includes collaboration with professionals such as paediatrics, police, the 136 Suite, wider community children’s services, and the inpatient unit.
We offer a recruitment incentive package to the right candidate.
This post is part of the service's leadership team and will provide support and supervision to team members. The post-holder will be part of a clinical team providing specialist psychiatric advice to a multidisciplinary team. There is potential to support medical trainees and advanced clinical practitioners, supervised by the consultant.
The post-holder, along with senior CAMHS team members, will ensure effective communication with referring and receiving teams across the Trust and primary care. Where appropriate, the post-holder may join therapy sessions in complex cases. While primarily responsible for delivering a high-quality clinical service, the Consultant psychiatrist is also expected to contribute to the strategic development of the team and broader services, working with the service manager to align with the organisation's strategic direction.
The successful candidate will develop a personal development plan for lifelong learning. We also offer opportunities for further qualifications, research, or involvement in service transformation, with flexible SPA arrangements above the standard 2.5 SPAs.
