Position Overview: As a Consultant in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, you will deliver exceptional psychiatric care to children and adolescents with diverse mental health needs. Leading a multidisciplinary team, you will participate in assessments, treatment planning, and interventions tailored to young individuals. This role requires strong leadership, clinical expertise, and a commitment to compassionate care to support the mental health and development of young people.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
* Lead and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, age-appropriate psychiatric care.
* Oversee therapeutic interventions, medication management, and crisis interventions for young patients.
* Contribute to developing innovative programs to improve mental health outcomes for children and adolescents.
* Engage with families, schools, and community resources to provide holistic support and continuity of care.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Medical degree and full GMC registration.
* Specialist registration in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
* CCT or equivalent in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
* Significant experience as a Consultant in this field, demonstrating leadership and clinical excellence.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with young people, families, and teams.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with latest research and practices.
