Role: Teacher of Science
Location: Folkestone
Start Date: January 2026
Hours: Full time
Salary: £32,916 - £51,047 depending on pay scale and experience
Tradewind Recruitment are actively looking for committed and knowledgeable Qualified Science Teachers to teach in a range of secondary schools in the Folkestone area. The roles are full time and will be to start in January 2026.
Role:
Plan and deliver lessons across all 3 disciplines of Science to KS3 and KS4 students
Utilise a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions
Attend departmental meetings and parents evenings when required
Actively participate in extracurricular activities and school events to enrich the educational experienceRequirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge across Chemistry, Physics and Biology
Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential
Commitment to continuous professional development and growth
Excellent behaviour management skills
Experience of teaching Science to KS3 and KS4 students
Hold or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
