The Position
Newly Weds® Foods Ltd is seeking to recruit a highly motivated, proactive and driven individual to work as a Warehouse Manager. Reporting into the Plant Manager you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the warehouse operation. The department is fast-paced with a small dedicated team operating a variety of shift patterns including 24/7 to support an inter-site operation as well as customer and raw material deliveries. To give you a sense of scale the warehouse team manage approx. 6600 pallet locations and up to 45 loads per day.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervising the department to ensure picking and loading is completed in accordance with booked collection times and that productivity targets are set and achieved.
* Supervising activities to ensure the quality of product is maintained ensuring standards are adhered to at all times.
* Managing and resolving any quality issues in a timely manner, working to identify root cause and effective corrective actions.
* Managing and resolving issues identified through Customer Complaints.
* Developing and maintaining the Standard Operating Procedures for Warehouse operations with regular reviews taking place to ensure they are current.
* Working closely with other departments to ensure orders are despatched on time and in full.
Person Specification
* Previous experience in a Supervisory Position.
* Experience of a warehouse environment.
* Confident leader with good communication and team building skills and can lead by example.
* Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to multi task and work under pressure – remaining Professional at all times.
* Experience of Outbound Container loading and the necessary paperwork to be completed.
* Negotiation, delegation skills and problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge and experience of a Warehouse Management System.
* Sound Knowledge of Inbound and Outbound Operational Activity.
* Understanding of excellent Inventory Control.
Hours of work
Core Hours of work: 08:30 to 17:00. Although flexibility is required to meet the demands of the business.
