We are currently recruiting confident Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Salford. This role is ideal for individuals with experience managing classroom behaviour and delivering pre-set work in a secondary school environment.
Cover Supervisors play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absence and are key to supporting students’ progress throughout the school day.
The Role:
Supervising whole classes across Key Stages 3 and 4 in the absence of the class teacher
Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials and ensuring students remain on task
Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Supporting pupils to engage with their learning in a calm and structured environment
Liaising with teaching staff and senior leaders as required
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils
Confident classroom presence with strong behaviour management skills
Strong behaviour management skills
Reliable, professional, and adaptable
Educated to degree level or with relevant school-based experience
An interest in education or progression into teaching is desirable
