We are seeking a committed Pastoral & Behaviour Support Assistant in Horsham to help pupils access learning, develop social skills, and thrive within a supportive school environment.

About the Role
This role focuses on supporting pupils with behavioural and pastoral needs. You will work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to implement strategies that encourage positive behaviour, build confidence, and create a safe and productive learning environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with behavioural or pastoral needs
* Implement behaviour management strategies and encourage positive social interactions
* Assist with personal care where required, ensuring pupils’ dignity and safety
* Support pupils to engage with classroom activities and learning
* Contribute to individualised interventions and pastoral plans
* Monitor, record, and report on pupil progress and behaviour to staff
* Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and pastoral staff to support pupil development
Qualifications & Skills
* Experience working with pupils with behavioural or SEN needs
* Strong knowledge of behaviour management techniques and pastoral support
* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Effective communication and teamwork skills
* Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet individual pupil needs
