Overview
Senior Physiotherapist (British Rowing - Men’s Team) – full time role with British Rowing and the UK Sports Institute (UKSI) to work with the Olympic Men’s squad at the GB Rowing Team (GBRT) National Training Centre (NTC) in Caversham, Reading. We are seeking an experienced practitioner who has worked extensively with high performance sporting teams to help the GBRT achieve podium success on the global stage.
You will be an integral member of a closely-knit high-performance team, collaborating with coaches specialised in rowing, strength & conditioning, and support staff across science and medicine. The role supports prehabilitation, performance preparation, and MSK athlete health management to maintain training adherence across the group, with a focus on LA 2028 and Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games.
Location
Based at a bespoke NTC in Caversham (near Reading), where athletes train on water and land with World Class Coaching and Support Services. Delivery is in person to meet the needs of the sport.
Role requirements
A typical week is Monday to Friday with a half day on Wednesday and rotations within the physiotherapy team, supporting one Saturday every three weeks when at the NTC. There is international travel for camps and competitions (~80 days per year, in blocks of 13–16 days). Some Strength & Conditioning sessions and specialist physiotherapy/rehabilitation services are delivered at the High-Performance Centre at Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre (near Marlow).
