We are now seeking an Assistant Electrical Quantity Surveyor to support our commercial and project teams. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated junior professional looking to grow their career in electrical project surveying and commercial management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support senior Quantity Surveyors in preparing tender submissions and cost estimates
* Assist with procurement and coordination of supply chain for electrical works
* Help manage commercial aspects of live projects, including costs, variations, and reporting
* Support monthly applications for payment (AFP), invoicing, and bill approvals (IAS)
* Assist in the preparation of valuations, final accounts, and contractual documentation
* Attend meetings with project teams and suppliers to gain commercial experience
* Maintain accurate project records and assist with reporting
Requirements:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying (BSc / BEng) or related discipline
* Some experience or training in Quantity Surveying, preferably within electrical or M&E projects
* Knowledge of construction contracts and commercial processes (NEC, JCT, or similar) desirable
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* Good communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
* Willingness to learn and develop within a busy infrastructure environment
