Assistant Management Accountant (North Leeds) - Up to £35,000 Per Annum Are you looking to take the next step in your finance career? POSITION PURPOSE Join a supportive finance team where you'll work alongside the Finance Manager to prepare monthly management accounts and ensure strict internal control measures are adhered to. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES In this role, you will: Produce management information, including employee costings and cost-of-sales analysis. Support the Finance Manager in the preparation of monthly management accounts. Develop event accounting to determine profitability. Take full ownership of weekly forecast reporting and event flash reports. Perform audits to ensure adherence to internal processes and report discrepancies or unusual activity. Assist with budgeting and forecasting preparation. Prepare and complete monthly commission statements for venue clients. Continuously review cost analysis to maximize efficiencies. Support with year-end audits and related documentation. Contribute to ad hoc project work and reporting tasks as needed. PERSON SPECIFICATION To succeed in this role, you should have: A minimum of 12 months' finance experience. Part qualification in AAT, with potential plans to pursue ACCA or CIMA. High levels of accuracy and a proactive problem-solving mindset. Excellent time management and organisation skills to handle competing priorities.
