To provide personal and practical care services for people with a wide range of illnesses and disabilities.
This person is expected to liaise with relatives and visitors to the home, as well as members of the multi-disciplinary team.
To be active in care planning, the administration of medications as well as the management of medications and the supervision of staff.
To conform to all policies, procedures and guidelines laid down by the home in respect of carrying out these care duties and in other administrative aspects of the business, as relevant.
Undertaking any other duties that are within your capabilities and that would reasonably fall within the job role, and in particular to assist, if necessary, in maintaining the safety and welfare of service users within the Home
To show due regard at all times for the comfort, well-being and self-respect of all service users within the Home
PERSON SPECIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS
SVQ 3 Health & Social Care is a necessity.
Must be registered and to maintain the registration under the appropriate section of the Scottish Social Services Council.
Clearance must be received from Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme
Understanding of the needs of vulnerable adults; empathy towards others.
Pride in work; reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team
Flexibility in approach, and in relation to the needs and demands of the job
Flexibility in relation to working time
Physically and mentally capable of fulfilling the role
