The Opportunity –
An exciting opportunity has arisen for talented andmitted teachers to join a new independent preparatory school opening September 2026 in Essex. The school will provide a high-quality, academically ambitious education for children aged 3–7, with a strong emphasis on language development, character education, and a broad, knowledge-rich curriculum.
This role offers the chance to be part of a founding teaching team, contributing to the development of the school’s ethos, curriculum, and classroom culture from the Responsibilities:
1. Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across the Early Years Foundation Stage and/or Key Stage 1
2. Create a calm, positive and purposeful classroom environment
3. Support pupils’ academic progress and personal development
4. Foster independence, curiosity, and confidence in young learners
5. Monitor and assess pupil progress effectively
6. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistency and quality of provision
7. Maintain high standards of professionalism and safeguarding
Candidate Profile –
We are looking for individuals who:
8. Hold QTS or EYTS (essential)
9. Have experience teaching within EYFS and/or KS1 settings
10. Demonstrate strong knowledge of child development and effective teaching practice
11. Are reflective, motivated, andmitted to delivering high standards
12. Are enthusiastic about contributing to a growing schoolmunity
13. Bring a positive, professional, and nurturing approach to teaching
14. Specialisms in subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, PE, Art, or Languages are weed but not essential.
Desirable:
15. Experience within the independent sector
16. Postgraduate qualifications ( Master’s degree)
