Strategic Functions:
1. Working with the Board/ Trustees to develop ICAP’s clinical strategy including:
* Reporting to icap’s Board, on progress using a balance scorecard approach, which tracks against icap’s clinical and operational strategy, Preparing Board Reports and Risk Register
2. Work with Clinical Governance Sub-Committee chair and trustees to:
* Develop and oversee clinically appropriate Policies, Procedures and Processes including safeguarding, GDPR, therapist accreditation and CPD needs.
* Promote a culture of learning within the clinical team, ensuring therapists are up to date and engaged with data collection, reporting and monitoring.
* Ensure ICAP Therapists are aware of and trained in icap’s policies, procedures and processes and accurate records are maintained.
* Annually review icap’s clinical policies, procedures and processes to ensure the highest quality of service delivery and practice.
* Develop a reporting template for CGSC to report on icap’s clinical activity, risk and governance to Board e.g. a balance scorecard.
* Promote and support the work of raising icap’s profile by developing case studies and produce data to demonstrate impact and outcomes.
3. Develop the service to meet the needs of the client group in line with new/best practice
4. To pro-actively participate as a member of icap’s Executive Team, including attending quarterly board meetings, quarterly Clinical Governance Sub Committee and a regular calendar of fundraising events
5. Promote and support key stakeholder relationships with partner providers including promoting icap as a centre of excellence.
Clinical Facing function:
* Work with the Clinical Managers to support them with the day-to-day management of the clinical service by:
* Overseeing the reporting of the organisation clinical planning and activity including groups
* Provide Line Management oversight of the Supervision function of the organisation.
* Oversee the effective governance of the Supervisors, Therapists and clinical staff
* Act as the DSL function for Adult Safeguarding including the training, risk management, recording and reporting of all safeguarding activity.
* Promote via CPDs a culture of learning within the clinical team.
* To hold, develop and manage the budgets for icap’s psychotherapy work:
* Report activity against contracts. Ensure icap’s strategic objectives are understood and supported across the Clinical service
* Review the Client Contribution policy to include full cost charging for services.
* Oversee the Implementation of CORE CMS across the service. (New project)
* Support participation, co-design and representation from those with lived experience to have a voice within and across the organisation.
6. Carry out any duties consistent with the efficient and effective management of the organisation as may be required including deputising for the CEO.
