CNC Miller (Large Gantry Milling Machines)
Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne & Wear
£18.13 to £23.52 per hour Depending on experience & shift pattern
Candidates will be time served CNC Machinists through a recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship with experience on large gantry milling machines.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
* Responsible for ensuring the machine schedule is completed within the required timescales and to the correct drawing specifications
* Work methodically through tasks whilst ensuring quality is not compromised
* Follow quality policies and procedures
* Highlight any quality or production issues to supervision
* Prepare and load materials on machines
* Maximise machine utilisation with minimum downtime
* Multiple machine running when requested
* Mentor apprentices and colleagues when requested
* Comply with all health and safety requirements
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
* Time served CNC Miller/Machinist
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Ability to understand and interpret geometrical tolerances
* Familiar with Siemens 840 / Mazatrol controls
* Competent working to and maintaining tight tolerances
* Competent lifting heavy components
* Experience of machining large fabrications
