Due to maternity leave in the team, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Cardiology Department as a Band 7 Chief Cardiac Clinical Physiologist.
Our Cardiology Department performs a wide range of non‑invasive diagnostics and has opened some of its diagnostics to direct access from Primary Care.
We require an experienced Chief Cardiac Clinical Physiologist to contribute to the echocardiography service and occasionally assist with other cardiac diagnostics. Successful candidates should be able to work independently and have significant experience in performing and reporting echocardiograms. Candidates must hold accreditation from the British Society of Echocardiography in Adult Echocardiography, or equivalent.
* Prior experience and accreditation in Adult Echocardiography required.
* Possibility of weekend working as part of a 6/7 day service; weekend cover required.
* Collaborate closely with other cardiac physiologists, Lead Clinicians, Consultant Cardiologists and the service manager.
* Provide physiological monitoring and reporting; encourage training and further education.
* Communicate professionally with patients, relatives and staff; maintain confidentiality and act as a role model.
* Involve in training and assessment of junior staff, including leadership of physiologist lead Exercise Tolerance Test training.
