An exciting opportunity has become available to join our dynamic MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Conference and Events) Sales team as a MICE Sales Manager in our growing England team. Based in London, travel to other Apex branches, client, and agent offices both nationally and internationally may be required.
We are seeking a results-driven MICE Sales Manager to support and grow our business development efforts across our portfolio, focusing on building relationships with regionally based Conference Agents, Destination Management Companies (DMCs), and direct M&E bookers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the MICE industry, excellent networking skills, and a passion for promoting Apex Hotels as a premier destination for meetings, incentives, conferences, and events.
THE ROLE
1. Business Development:
o Identify and engage with key agents across domestic and international markets.
o Develop tailored sales strategies to attract MICE business to Apex Hotel properties.
o Represent the company at trade shows, networking events, and industry forums.
2. Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with DMCs, Conference Agents, corporate clients, event planners, MICE partners, and tourism boards where appropriate.
o Act as the primary point of contact for DMCs, Agencies, and partners, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
3. Sales & Revenue Generation:
o Achieve and exceed sales targets through proactive outreach and strategic partnerships.
o Prepare proposals, site inspections, presentations, and bids for MICE events in collaboration with internal teams.
4. Market Intelligence:
o Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities in the MICE sector.
o Provide regular reports and insights to senior management to inform strategic decisions.
5. Collaboration:
o Work closely with all stakeholders and product development teams to ensure offerings meet client needs.
o Support the creation of promotional materials and campaigns targeting DMCs and MICE clients.
REQUIREMENTS

Additional requirements include:
* Proven experience in MICE sales, preferably with a focus on agencies, DMCs, or international markets, though not essential.
* Networking within the MICE and tourism industry.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
* Knowledge of Scotland’s tourism offerings and venues is a strong advantage.
