Look no further! We have a fantastic 12-month opportunity as a Public Health Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive Public Health team here at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.
This is a rewarding opportunity to influence how public health services are delivered across our borough, empowering our residents to lead healthier, safer lives. This role has a particular focus on developing and supporting domestic abuse services, whilst also contributing to other key areas within Public Health such as Complex Lives and Children & Families, as needed.
We are seeking a forward-thinking and innovative individual who thrives on using their public health expertise to influence both strategic and operational outcomes.

In practice, the role will involve:
1. Influencing strategic and operational activities relating to the prevention of and response to domestic abuse
2. Collaborating with partners to implement strategic priorities set within the Domestic Abuse Strategy for Stockton-on-Tees
3. Mobilising and performance managing the new sanctuary service
4. Monitoring of current contracted services provided by Harbour
All you need to be a success is:
5. A degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience in public health
6. Proven experience in planning, implementing and evaluating public health programmes
7. Ability to interpret and apply data insights to support evidence-based decision making
8. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload
