About the role
As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you’ll be bringing the unique blend of quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service right to our customers’ doors. You will actively embody our ethos - passionate Partners serving food lovers. When you're not on the road, you'll support the team with daily tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the efficient and welcoming running of the shop.
Note: You need to be 18 years or older to work in this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Check your delivery routes for the day.
* Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are organized for efficient delivery.
* Complete vehicle safety checks, maintaining road safety and compliance.
* Represent the Waitrose brand with excellent customer service.
* Assist customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
* Support the shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when needed.
Essential skills/experience
* Full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Good time management skills.
* Ability to handle physical tasks like lifting crates and moving cages.
* Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and adaptable.
* IT literacy.
Desirable skills/experience
* Previous driving experience and knowledge of chilled vehicles are advantageous.
Varied full-time hours (37.5 hours) across seven days, including early starts, late finishes, evenings, and weekends.
