An established UK engineering and fabrication business is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to develop and grow its presence within the UK water industry.
This is a senior, strategic role focused on building long‑term relationships with water companies and contractor partners, navigating framework‑led routes to market, and securing sustainable, specification‑driven work in a highly regulated environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading business development activities within the UK water sector.
Identifying and engaging with water companies and associated contractors.
Building and maintaining senior commercial, technical and procurement relationships.
Navigating framework agreements and approved supplier routes.
Work closely with engineering and operational teams to assess feasibility and value.
Represent the business professionally across meetings, sites and industry events
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Proven business development experience in regulated or framework‑driven markets.
Strong understanding of specification‑led, contractor‑based sales processes.
An ability to manage long sales cycles and complex stakeholder environments.
A strong commercial acumen.
