Job Title: Support Services Admin Assistant

Pay rate: £14.13 per hour PAYE

Contract Type: Temporary, Anticipated 2 to 3 months

Working Arrangement: In the office full time

To apply for this role, you will have experience of working in an office/business environment, ideally in a local authority. Previous experience of working with customers is also essential.


The Role

On behalf of a local council, we are seeking a Support Services Admin Assistant to monitor and action email inboxes along with other general office admin duties.


Key Responsibilities

* Use of IT systems, including office and specific packages – word processing, data input and processing using spreadsheets, databases and bespoke IT packages
* Filing, record keeping, dealing with post, scanning and processing work using document management systems
* Dealing with deliveries of goods and services, stationery and stock control, invoice and payment processing, payroll processing, billing and recharging, and use of procurement and financial systems (manual and IT)
* Telephone answering, dealing with correspondence, responding to customer enquiries and requests
* Reception duties
* Cheque handling, e-payments, banking income and reconciliation duties
* Support the wider team including the Hub in meeting team objectives


What the Client is Looking For

* Experience of working in an office/business environment
* Experience of working in Local Government/ Local authority
* Experience of working with customers and excellent customer service skills
* Qualification in English, Mathematics and/or IT comparable to GCSE level
* Good IT skills
