This is an exciting opportunity to join a renowned architecture and design practice as Studio Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the studio, supporting both leadership and project teams in delivering exceptional work.
About the Role
As Studio Manager, you will be the central point of contact for all operational matters, ensuring the studio functions efficiently and remains a welcoming, inspiring space for staff and visitors. This role combines administration, facilities management, and team support, requiring a hands-on approach and excellent organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily studio operations, ensuring a well-maintained and professional environment
* Act as first point of contact for visitors, clients, and suppliers
* Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence
* Coordinate meetings and events, including room bookings, catering, and presentation setup
* Support Directors and project teams with administrative tasks, including expenses and document management
* Liaise with external suppliers and contractors for office services and maintenance
* Monitor and maintain office supplies and equipment
* Assist with travel arrangements and logistics for staff
* Ensure compliance with studio policies, health and safety standards, and ISO procedures
* Champion equity, diversity, and inclusion across all studio activities
Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in studio or office management within a creative environment
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop is a plus
* Familiarity with ISO quality standards and Smartsheet software advantageous
* Professional, approachable, and able to remain calm under pressure
