An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a prestigious international investment business based in Central London. They are seeking a Part-Qualified Assistant Accountant who is keen to build a long-term career in a fast-paced and commercially impactful environment.
This is a developmental role offering exposure to the full finance cycle, with excellent opportunities to learn and grow. You’ll gain hands-on experience in month-end reporting, audit support, and both financial and management accounting processes as the role progresses. It’s a fantastic chance to deepen your technical knowledge while learning from experienced finance professionals and engaging with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accounts Payable: Manage end-to-end AP, ensuring accurate invoice processing, coding, approvals, and timely payments.
* Accruals & Prepayments: Prepare and post accruals/prepayments as part of the monthly reporting cycle.
* Month-End Duties: Assist in preparing accounts up to trial balance, support the P&L review process, and maintain general ledger accuracy.
* Bank Reconciliations: Complete regular reconciliations across multiple accounts and currencies.
* Invoice Analysis: Maintain invoice records and analyse trends or discrepancies where needed.
* Audit Support: Assist in the preparation of schedules and supporting documentation for both internal and external audits.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Part-Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA) – actively studying with aspirations to progress.
* Solid understanding of core accounting functions, particularly AP, AR, accruals, and prepayments.
* Strong Excel skills – confident with formulas, lookups, and data handling.
* Excellent communication skills – able to liaise with finance and non-finance teams alike.
* Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn within a high-performing finance team.
