About the Role
As a Welding Supervisor, you will oversee day-to-day welding operations, ensuring all work meets required quality standards, safety regulations and project schedules. You will support and guide a team of welders, helping them develop their skills while maintaining efficient and safe work practices.
What You’ll Do
* Supervise and coordinate welding tasks across ship repair and fabrication projects.
* Ensure all welding activities comply with procedures, specifications, safety requirements and quality standards.
* Provide training, mentoring and support to welders to strengthen skills and productivity.
* Plan, allocate and schedule welding tasks to meet project deadlines.
* Monitor performance and offer clear, constructive feedback.
* Inspect welds to verify compliance with engineering and project specifications.
* Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers and other teams to resolve issues and improve workflows.
* Oversee the correct use and maintenance of welding equipment.
* Promote and implement safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
* Prepare reports on welding progress, productivity and quality.

Qualifications
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Welding Supervisor in ship repair or similar industry.
* In-depth knowledge of welding techniques, equipment, and materials used in ship repair.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team.
* Ability to interpret welding specifications and drawings.
* Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to welding.
* Certification in welding (e.g., AWS Certified Welding Inspector) is a plus.
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
* Good communication skills to interact with diverse teams and stakeholders.
