Overview
As a Security Vetting Team Leader, you'll be at the forefront of safeguarding our people and operations. You'll lead a dedicated team responsible for managing security clearance processes for employees and contractors, ensuring compliance with national legislation and internal standards. Day-to-day, you'll be leading and supporting the site's vetting team, providing subject matter expertise and line management.
Responsibilities
* Monitoring the delivery of screening and vetting services to ensure compliance with policies and SLAs
* Engaging with stakeholders to promote security awareness, explain clearance processes, raise security awareness and promote security as an enabler
* Acting as the escalation point for complex vetting queries
* Flagging current or projected resourcing and staff training requirements to Head of Security Clearance and Vetting
* Overseeing the full lifecycle of security clearance to meet regulatory requirements
* This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements
Qualifications
* Proven line management experience, ideally in team leadership
* Strong understanding of HMG security clearance policies and processes (NSV, BPSS, IPSA)
* Solid grasp of data protection legislation
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise for self and others
* Comfortable working independently and making decisions

* The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) clearance for this role
* Presence in the UK and eligibility for national security clearances as required by the role
