Location: Blackpool, FY postcode area
Salary: £92.89 - £125.89 per day (Dependent on experience/qualifications)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent & Long-term options available

We are looking for a dedicated and resilient Support Worker to join our specialist SEMH school in Blackpool. Whether you are a qualified practitioner or an unqualified individual with the right "can-do" attitude, we want to hear from you.
This isn't your average 9-to-5. You will be supporting pupils who face challenges with social, emotional, and mental health needs. Your goal? To provide the stability and encouragement they need to succeed in their education.
The Role: What You'll Be Doing
* Providing 1-to-1 and small group support to pupils aged 11-16.
* Assisting the Class Teacher in managing classroom behaviour and engagement.
* Building strong, trusting relationships with students who may have experienced trauma.
* Implementing de-escalation strategies and supporting emotional regulation.
* Creating a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
What We're Looking For
We welcome applications from both qualified and unqualified Support Workers.
* Experience (Desired but not essential): Backgrounds in Youth Work, Sports Coaching, Care, or Military/Police are highly valued.
* Resilience: The ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging behaviour with empathy.
* Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to connect with pupils and staff alike.
* Commitment: A genuine desire to improve the life chances of vulnerable young people in the Blackpool area.
