Stock Controller Contract Type: Contract (Ongoing) Location: Goole Pay Rate: £14.40 per hour Overview We are seeking a dependable and detail-focused Stock Controller to join a respected company within the rail industry. The successful candidate will ensure stock accuracy through regular stock takes and inventory counts, maintaining precise and up-to-date records. Responsibilities include managing stock control documentation and adhering to company procedures. While a valid MHE (Material Handling Equipment) licence is preferred for the safe operation of forklifts and other handling equipment, training can be provided if necessary. This role operates on a day shift, Monday to Friday, with an expectation to work bank holidays and participate in a rotating on-call weekend schedule. Key Responsibilities Perform regular stock takes and inventory counts to maintain accuracy. Manage and complete stock control paperwork accurately and promptly. Operate material handling equipment safely and in accordance with licence requirements. Support stock administration processes and maintain thorough records. Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth stock flow. Participate in on-call weekend rotations and work bank holidays as required. Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures at all times. Skills and Experience Valid MHE licence preferred, but not essential (training available). Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on stock accuracy. Experience in conducting stock takes and managing inventory control. Proficient in stock administration and documentation management. Strong organisational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Reliable and adaptable, with a willingness to work bank holidays and on-call weekends. Effective communication skills. Good IT literacy, including familiarity with stock management systems.
