The Kitchen Bathroom and Bedroom Specialist Association Limited (KBSA)
The KBSA represents hundreds of local independent kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and home office retailers Nationwide and are dedicated to upholding the Association's high standards of design, supply, installation and customer service throughout the Kitchen, Bathroom and Bedroom (KBB) industry. Using a KBSA retailer gives the customer confidence that you are using a reputable company. All KBSA members follow an Approved Code of Conduct and are subject to strict monitoring to make sure the customer gets the best professional service available. In addition, many KBSA members are approved to trade as TrustMark accredited retailers.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The holder of this role will be required to work from the Mansfield Office primarily to deal with all forms of communication with KBSA members as well as the global KBB audience in the UK. This will involve delivering e-shots through marketing campaigns, provision of newsletters, assisting the Media Agency with all campaigns with social media etc. The ability to author content for articles, blogs and podcasts within the KBB industry. The holder of this role will also work with our Web-designers/digital marketeers to keep the website and all messaging “fresh”, current and innovative.
The holder will be required to research, build up, maintain and update the KBB database. This will be the platform for all communications and marketing campaigns.
The holder will also be required to research current trends within the KBB industry so as to contribute to lifestyle content and images on the website and all digital marketing.
The holder of this role is required to behave in a way that is consistent with the Company’s Strategic aims and values and to support initiatives that drive continuous improvement and that support the ongoing development and growth of the KBSA.
The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 9.00am -5.00pm with 30 minute lunch break
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Market Research within the KBB industry with view of keeping database up to date
· Market Research into current trends in the KBB industry
· Communications with the Trade Press. Support efforts and/or gain member agreement for press releases, use of references, etc.
· Refreshing and keeping up to date the KBSA website, with informative content and links to members, as well as providing innovative and inspirational content to consumers
· E-marketing of members and global KBB market
· Collation and publishing of KBSA newsletter
· Organise and facilitate on-line webinars
· Evidence gathering for members who join Trustmark
· Good knowledge of new tech skills e.g., Microsoft products, social media platforms, etc.
· A proficient grasp of the English language to be able to write articles, derived from research etc.
· Self-starter, highly energetic and motivated
· Flexible and hard-working.
· You should be outgoing and hungry to succeed, with a focus on membership retention
· Outgoing and confident on the telephone and building rapport with members
· To be a pivotal point of contact for the customer, working in close alignment with all supporting departments and functions
· Use market knowledge to anticipate change and help the business to adapt and seize opportunities
· Develop new business opportunities through research, meetings and appropriate marketing activities
· Assist with delivery of the Annual Awards Conference
· Any other duties reasonably assigned including cover in the office and making appointments for the Retail & Corporate Membership Director
· Working to KPI’s in place that contribute to member service excellence and strategic plan of the business

PERSON SPECIFICATION AND SKILLS
· Good written and verbal communication skills and initiative to ask the right questions
· Must have the drive and ambition to do well
· Previous media experience is desirable
· Good knowledge of e.g., Microsoft products (and social media platforms-desirable) etc.
· Self-starter, highly energetic and motivated to achieve sales targets set
· Flexible and hard-working
· Must be outgoing and hungry to succeed, with a focus on membership retention
· Strong organisational skills
· Excellent attention to detail
· Demonstrates good problem-solving skills
· Willingness to undertake additional tasks as required by the business

QUALIFICATIONS
GCSE Qualifications in English - Essential
Desireable – Media Studies and/or Journalism
EXPERIENCE
·Experience in digital marketing and authoring
·Proficiency in Microsoft packages, including Excel, MS Word and Outlook
·Experience using Social Media platforms
