* Advise and challenge the Board on welfare, safety, and safeguarding matters, ensuring the best interests of children, young people, and adults at risk are prioritised.
* Embed safeguarding responsibilities in the County FA’s strategy, business plan, operational plan, and risk management.
* Ensure relevant safeguarding training is provided to the Board, staff, volunteers, and committee members.
* Promote a culture of transparency, ethical behaviour, and accountability in welfare and safety matters.
* Provide support to executive staff on welfare and safeguarding issues.
This voluntary position requires attendance at six Board meetings a year (usually the second Thursday of each month), held at St Peter’s Sports Hub.
