Role Description
Reporting to the Global Management Financial Controller you will be a key member of the Group finance team whose primary responsibility is managing the financial control processes, reporting and governance of FNZ Global Management (FNZ GM), the entity that owns and manages FNZ's core intellectual property and provides shared services to wider FNZ group. This role has overall responsibility for the preparation of FNZ GM's management and statutory reporting including managing the ledgers and financial processes, liaising with key stakeholders across the FNZ group and developing and maintaining a robust control environment around processes and outputs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in similar financial control roles, preferably in Financial Services, and should also have experience working across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
Role Responsibilities
Own the month-end close process for FNZ GM, including journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations and review
Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for FNZ GM in accordance with IFRS
Prepare other financial outputs to support the directors with the governance of the FNZ GM entity
Provide input and work with FP&A colleagues as required to support annual budget cycle and forecast updates
Drive improvements to and standardisation of all FNZ GM owned processes
Ensure compliance with FNZ Group policies and procedures
Work closely with component teams across the Group to ensure financial reporting inputs for FNZ GM reporting are received in a consistent and timely manner
Own the Global Management intercompany matching and reconciliation process
Performance Assessment
A strong and consistent financial control environment is maintained for FNZ GM
Able to manage own workload and ensure deadlines are met
Efficient delivery of FNZ GM statutory accounts, including the audit process with accounts delivered in line with agreed timelines and minimal audit adjustments identified
Driving continuous improvement across all owned processes
A finance function where objectives are achieved which are in line with the long-term goals of the business
Requirements
Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience
Prior experience of financial control processes in a multi-national group, including experience of multi-currency environments
Strong knowledge of IFRS and practical experience of applying it
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills required to work closely with colleagues in other regions of the business, including those in different time zones
Personal commitment to high quality work and able to demonstrate good attention to detail
Candidates with Financial Services experience preferred although those with demonstrable experience of the required skills will also be considered
