Job Description

Shift Leader, BBTI – Crewe, Cheshire. Start Date: 22nd or 29th September 2025 (open to discussion).

We are looking to hire 2 experienced Shift Leaders at our European HQ in Crewe, Cheshire. If you are looking for a new and exciting opportunity to join a global leader in tech protection, repair, sustainability, and support solutions, this is the role for you.

The Shift Leader within Likewize’s BBTI division oversees the day-to-day operations of warehouse staff processing pre-owned Mobile Phones, tablets, wearables and computers. This role ensures smooth shift performance, effective team coordination, and compliance with operational standards. By guiding the team, managing workflows and overseeing the utilization of our state of the art automated device testing system, the Shift Leader supports our commitment to sustainability, resource optimization, and customer satisfaction across our reverse logistics operations.


Primary Responsibilities

* Shift Leadership: Oversee daily shift operations, ensuring workloads are balanced, targets are achieved, and team members remain productive and engaged.
* Team Management: Provide guidance, training, and support to operatives; monitor performance and escalate issues when necessary.
* Workflow Oversight: Assign tasks across receiving, inspection, processing, device preparation and cleaning to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to quality standards; spot-check processed items and verify compliance with refurbishment and testing and data-wipe requirements.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce safety policies, conduct toolbox talks, monitor the correct PPE use, and safe handling of electronic products.
* Performance Reporting: Track and report on shift performance metrics, including productivity, accuracy, and stock movements.
* Problem Solving: Address operational issues quickly, escalating to the Supervisor/Manager when needed, while maintaining smooth shift flow.
* Cross-Department Coordination: Act as the key liaison with refurbishment, testing, logistics, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless operational handovers.
* Warehouse Standards: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment; ensure compliance with SOPs, security protocols, and environmental best practices.
* Data & Compliance: Ensure accurate use of warehouse management systems, asset-tracking tools, and adherence to data protection and information security policies.
* Data Protection: Respect the value of information by following Likewize\'s data protection / information security policies and procedures.


Requirements

* Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or reverse supply chain environment, ideally with experience supervising or leading a team.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and resolve team issues.
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficient with warehouse systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel in particular).
* Attention to detail and accuracy when handling stock, documentation, and system updates.
* Sound knowledge of health and safety standards and best practices within a warehouse environment.
* Physically fit and capable of carrying out operational warehouse tasks when needed.
* A collaborative, proactive, and reliable approach to supporting both team and business objectives.
