Pearse Professionals are supporting a multi-site retail organisation in their search for an experienced Project Manager to lead key elements of a business-critical finance transformation programme.
This role will take ownership of both project delivery and the people side of change, ensuring systems and processes are modernised while embedding new ways of working across the organisation. The ideal candidate will be practical, delivery-focused, and comfortable working at pace in a complex, fast-moving commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of key finance transformation initiatives – including system enhancements, process redesign and finance technology implementation.
* Develop and maintain robust project plans, RAID logs, governance structures and stakeholder maps.
* Drive delivery across multiple workstreams, working closely with Finance, IT and third-party vendors.
* Ensure clear alignment between technical solutions and business requirements.
* Provide regular updates to senior stakeholders and maintain strong programme governance.
* Own the change strategy to support adoption across finance and non-finance teams.
* Conduct impact assessments, readiness checks, and manage risks related to organisational change.
* Deliver clear communications and training to embed new behaviours and processes.
* Act as a visible advocate for transformation, supporting colleagues through behavioural and cultural change.
* Ensure all teams affected by the transformation are engaged, informed and supported throughout.
Candidate Profile
* Significant experience with finance transformation and change programmes within retail or other fast-paced, commercial environments.
* Comfortable managing both the technical and people aspects of change.
* Experience with finance systems (e.g., ERP, EPM, reporting tools) and process optimisation.
* Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of driving delivery.
* Hands-on, proactive and results-driven – able to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities.
