Pennsylvania Castle Estate on Portland is a luxury venue based on the Dorset coastline, hosting unforgettable weddings, private celebrations, and high-profile corporate events. We are offering a unique opportunity to deliver our weddings, rentals and events and help drive the business forward. The Penn Estate is focused on providing all guests a unique experience, which includes bespoke guest services and the coordination of local activities and experiences.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work closely with the Event Manager and senior leadership team and be trained to deliver weddings, events and rentals across the Estate. We are looking for someone with a desire to learn and grow within the business.
The role would ideally suit candidates with between one and three years' event experience, but most importantly, we need you to be keen to develop your skills and build on the existing events business. You will be working directly with high-end clients and, therefore, must be well presented.
You will also assist with:
* Coordinating event staff
* Overseeing event set-ups
* Supporting event delivery
* Putting together quotes and booking schedules
What We Expect
The Estate expects high standards and a commitment to providing the best for our global clients and guests. This is not your typical 9-5 job; it will require weekend and evening work with a lot of flexibility.
With a busy season ahead, this would be an ideal role for a person having completed higher or further education and is looking to develop their career in events.
Skills & Attributes
The Estate is a significant user of digital software and social media, so you should be prepared to build on your existing knowledge of Microsoft Office and social media platforms, and be happy to learn new software (e.g., booking and project planning systems).
An excellent standard of literacy and numeracy is also a must for this role.
An enthusiasm for opportunities and a desire to develop further will be key in our consideration. Our staff are allowed to train and develop as part of their career progression with us.
Please apply if you are looking for a fun and hardworking opportunity with the scope to grow into a more senior role over time.
