Job description
Role Title - Creative Coordinator
Contract Duration - 1 year fixed term
Salary - By negotiation plus business performance related bonuses plus pension
Holiday - 33 days per year inclusive of statutory bank holidays. Holiday is strictly limited in October and not permitted in November, December and January.
Place of work - Coventry Head Office – Trafalgar House, 186, Torrington Avenue, Coventry, CV4 9AJ
Hours of work - 3 days per week with overtime as required to complete the job (particularly during panto season).
Travel - There will be a requirement to travel around the country supporting our productions.

What are we looking for?
We have a vacancy within our creative team, for an exceptional individual who has 10+ years experience within the pantomime arena and has the skills and ability to coordinate and support the creative development of Imagine Theatre Ltd productions, working closely with Associate Producers and key departments to ensure efficient delivery of creative decisions, with a primary focus on scripting.
The person we need, would have or be
Able to manage their own time, and to effectively plan schedules and delivery dates.
IT literate with basic knowledge of Office 365. Ability to learn new software as required
Procuring and sourcing of materials, fabric and accessories
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
Ability to work under pressure
Flexible with working hours to suit business needs
Able to work independently and remotely when required.
Key Responsibilities
Scripting & Development
Support the development of show concepts and production briefs (scenery, costumes, SFX, music and material requirements) in consultation with APs and department heads.
Brief writers on structure, expectations and running times; manage feedback through draft stages to final sign-off.
Ensure scripts meet commercial, casting, venue and audience requirements across the portfolio.
Coordinate wider scripting input (comic, dame, star casting, creative team).
Manage structure and pacing to achieve a maximum 2hr 5–10min runtime (2hrs for schools), factoring in interval, music, scene changes and audience reaction.
Work with APs, Head of Music and arrangers on placement and sharing of musical numbers across productions.
Monitor rehearsal rewrites via reports, ensuring changes align with ethos, quality and running time.
Collate and track all script versions, music cuts and creative notes; ensure deadlines are met.
Communicate script updates clearly to APs and relevant departments.
Creative Team Coordination
Support APs in coordinating creative teams.
In conjunction with the Production Co-ordinator, facilitate production and creative meetings with creatives, key departments, freelancers and venues.
Work alongside the Production Coordinator to ensure delivery of production elements to deadline.
Communication
Act as liaison between writers and director, choreographer, designer and production team.
Facilitate production and creative meetings with creatives, key departments, freelancers and venues.
Ensure all departments are working from current versions of materials.
Brand & Quality Control
Maintain Imagine's USP's while supporting each writer's creative individuality.
Ensure consistency of tone, comedy style and structure across venues.
Support approved marketing copy and synopses.
Integrate sponsor and venue requirements where required.
Design & Production Oversight
In conjunction with the Production Co-Ordinator
Track design deadlines (set, costume, props, lighting, sound).
Coordinate approvals between creatives, producers and venues.
Sustainability
Support Imagine Theatre's carbon-neutral commitments, including Theatre Green Book standards and sustainability tracking where relevant.
