GSL Education are currently seeking an engaging and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join a dynamic school inGateshead.
You will be responsible for delivering inspiring lessons in Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics, adapting your teaching to meet the varying needs of pupils. This role provides a platform for you to combine academic rigour with creativity to ignite students' curiosity and passion for science.
Your Main Responsibilities:
* Teach exciting and engaging Science lessons to students in any Key Stages.
* Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum.
* Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing targeted support where needed.
* Maintain excellent behaviour and classroom management standards.
* Collaborate with colleagues to drive departmental improvement.
* Contribute to the wider school ethos and extracurricular science activities.
What We re Looking For:
* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent overseas teaching qualification.
* A degree in a Science-related subject.
* Proven experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting.
* Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills.
* A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through GSL Education).
* A commitment to safeguarding and the ability to engage and inspire young learners.
