Job Opportunity: Composite Laminator (Permanent) Location: Christchurch, Dorset A highly regarded aerospace manufacturer based in Christchurch is looking for an experienced Composite Laminator to join its growing production team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in aerospace, motorsport, or F1 composite manufacturing, who takes pride in delivering work to the highest standards. About the Role As a Composite Laminator, you’ll be responsible for the precise hand lay-up of a variety of composite materials, working to engineering drawings and laminate manuals. You’ll play a key role in producing high-performance parts for critical aerospace applications, where quality and consistency are paramount. Key Responsibilities * Perform detailed composite lay-up using carbon fibre, glass fibre, and other advanced materials * Work to tight tolerances and strict aerospace or motorsport specifications * Interpret technical drawings and laminate manuals to ensure correct ply orientation, sequence, and material selection * Follow set work instructions and production procedures to ensure repeatability and traceability * Apply vacuum bagging techniques and prepare components for curing as required * Maintain a clean, organised work environment in line with safety and quality standards * Contribute to high-quality standards through careful handling, attention to detail, and accurate record-keeping ✅ What We’re Looking For * Proven experience laminating a broad range of composite materials in aerospace or motorsport/F1 environments * Sound understanding of composite laminating processes and curing cycles * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and laminate manuals accurately * Strong focus on attention to detail, quality, and consistency * Ability to follow procedures and work instructions precisely * Comfortable working in a cleanroom or controlled environment * Relevant qualification or time-served experience in composites manufacturing * Awareness of Health & Safety regulations in a manufacturing setting Working Hours * Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 3:30pm * Friday: 7:00am – 12:00 noon (Early Finish!)
