This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and personal development to help them thrive in school. The Role: As a Pastoral Support Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 and small-group pastoral support to pupils who require additional emotional or behavioural support Support students with issues such as anxiety, low confidence, friendship difficulties, and behaviour regulation Work closely with pastoral teams, teachers, SENCOs, and safeguarding leads Help pupils develop positive behaviour, resilience, and emotional literacy Act as a trusted adult, providing consistent support throughout the school day Support attendance, engagement, and positive attitudes to learning The Ideal Candidate: Has experience working with children or young people in a pastoral, support, care, or youth work role Experience supporting pupils with SEMH or behavioural needs is desirable Is empathetic, calm, and resilient Able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection Why Work with Tradewind Recruitment?
