Are you a creative brand management professional ready to make a tangible impact on the identity of a world-leading creative institution? We are seeking a Brand Experience Coordinator to oversee the delivery of brand experience and visual merchandising across University of the Arts London’s Accommodation, Catering, and Retail (ACR) spaces.
In this role, you will ensure that physical environments, displays and touchpoints consistently reflect the UAL brand, improve accessibility, enhance student engagement and support income generation. To achieve this, you will work closely with ACR Marketing, UAL Brand and Creative Services, and operational teams, to develop clear visual merchandising strategies, guidance and campaigns that align with UAL brand principles.
You will assist with audits of ACR spaces to assess layouts, signage, accessibility and brand consistency, coordinate the creation of visual merchandising, point-of-sale guidance and templates, and successfully translate campaigns into physical environments. Your work will also involve supporting seasonal activities and spatial enhancements that encourage engagement and create welcoming, inclusive environments. By working closely with students and graduates, you will help deliver installations and accessibility-led improvements that ensure UAL continues to effectively communicate with our key audiences.
About you
The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent professional experience in visual merchandising, graphic design, spatial design, interior design, brand communication, retail design or a related creative discipline. You will have experience in visual merchandising, brand experience and public-facing creative environments, with a proven ability to take concepts from development through to installation.
A strong understanding of accessibility principles and how layout, signage and visual communication supports inclusive navigation and engagement is essential, alongside excellent verbal, written and visual communication skills. Strong analytical and research skills are also essential for success in this role, including the ability to understand audiences and contexts and apply insights to develop impactful visual merchandising and brand experience strategies.
We are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all students, staff and visitors. As this role requires you to work with children, young people and/or vulnerable adults, a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check is required.
