We have an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting those experiencing homelessness to join our Supported Accommodation team in Newport as a Project Worker! As a Project Worker, you are the Key Worker and hold a caseload of individuals to work with.
Overview
It is essential for the successful candidate to have a full driver's license and access to a vehicle. The service is covered 24/7.

You will be working with a diverse group of people aged 18+ from varying backgrounds, who are experiencing trauma and have complex needs. Every day is different, you’ll be learning new skills and have the opportunity to work with a variety of agencies. We engage with the people we support through positive meaningful activities and provide a Psychologically Informed Environment.
Your Day Will Consist Of
* As a Project Worker, you will lead each shift by managing the scheme and overseeing the Scheme Support Officers in the absence of the manager and the Lead Project Worker.
* Engaging and interacting with our service users
* Writing and following a support plan with the individual you are supporting
* Delivering workshops relating to diversionary activities around tenancy management skills, individuals who have co-occurring needs, and health and wellbeing
* Liaising with external agencies
* Addressing any additional needs the people we support might have
Our motivation is to ensure we equip these individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to live independently. This is a challenging role, and you will be faced with complex behaviors and needs, including alcohol use, mental health, substance use, and offending behavior. You will work with a range of different personalities and behaviors, so you will need to be able to adapt your approach to engage with a diverse clientele.
Part of your role will also include sleep-in shifts at the scheme, where you will be provided with a secluded area that includes a bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen facilities.
Who We Are Looking For
