The Role
This special role will see you working as part of a team ensuring that the communal areas of the Retirement Village are kept hygienically clean and maintained to a high standard at all times.
You will be part of a happy, welcoming team all of whom contribute to the positive and friendly atmosphere of our Retirement Village, ensuring our communal areas, which include; corridors and stairwells of our apartment buildings, our 5 guest suites, reception area, meeting rooms, toilets and our pool and health suite, are all thoroughly clean. The role will also include some weekly laundering.
Requirements
* We are looking for someone with some experience of working as a Cleaner or Housekeeper however full training will be given if we think you demonstrate the right qualities at interview.
* An understanding of Health & Safety, Infection Control and COSHH would be an advantage.
* All posts are subject to a clear enhanced criminal record check and satisfactory references.
The Person
* You should be able and willing to follow instructions and detailed guidelines and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills towards residents, colleagues and visitors.
* It is essential that you can work within a team and also work unsupervised across our different buildings.
* If you can show thoroughness and attention to detail that would be an advantage.
* If you have a basic understanding of using cleaning chemicals and handling and dealing with infection control situations within a challenging environment we would also welcome your application.
Although it is no longer a legal requirement for staff working within CQC regulated Care Homes for Older Adult Care in England to be fully COVID-19 vaccinated, in the best interests of our staff and residents, we have decided to keep it a mandatory requirement to work for our organisation. Therefore, we will need proof of your COVID Vaccination pass.
