We’re working with a leading tech company in the North East who are looking for an Automation QA Engineer to play a key role in maintaining the quality and reliability of their cutting-edge platform.
This hybrid role requires 2 days a week in the Newcastle-upon-Tyne office.
What you’ll be doing:
* Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using modern tools and frameworks
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and apply the right testing methodologies
* Identify opportunities to enhance automation across the testing process, improving efficiency and coverage
* Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure platform stability during new feature rollouts
* Perform root cause analysis for test failures and work closely with developers to resolve issues quickly
* Create and maintain test data, environments, and harnesses required for automated testing
* Monitor, analyse, and report on test results to key stakeholders
* Proactively contribute to improving testing processes and practices across the team
* Keep up to date with the latest QA tools and best practices, sharing insights with the wider team
What they're looking for:
* Strong proficiency in C#
* Experience in automation testing, including functional and data validation
* Ability to translate business requirements into comprehensive test cases
* Experience working with APIs, databases, and version control systems (e.g. Git)
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a sharp eye for detail
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
* Proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership of tasks and drive improvements
