Our schemes typically range from £500k to £5m and are a mix of new build, refurbishment andplex live‑environment projects. With continued growth and a strong pipeline across Kent and London, we are now seeking a talented Estimator to join ourmercial team in this newly created role.
Your new role
This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator who wants to take ownership, influence project oues early, and work closely with an experiencedmercial Manager in a friendly, fast‑moving SME environment.
You’ll be involved from first enquiry through to tender submission, playing a pivotal role in shaping winning bids and contributing to ongoingmercial strategy.
Duties
1. Prepare accurate andpetitive tenders across healthcare and education projects
2. Carry out detailed take‑offs, cost analysis and subcontractorparisons
3. Liaise closely with themercial Manager on tender strategy and pricing
4. Issue enquiries, manage subcontractormunications and validate returned quotations
5. Evaluate risk, produce value engineering options and challenge design where appropriate.
6. Prepare tender summaries and support handover to project teams
7. Build and maintain strong supply chain and client relationships
What you'll need to succeed
You will need proven experience as an Estimator within construction (SME or main contractor background considered). A strongmercial awareness and ability to work autonomously. Confidentmunicator who can build rapport with suppliers, clients, and internal teams
Experience pricing work in healthcare and/or education (desirable but not essential). Methodical, detail‑driven and able to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
